In my 52 years on this planet, I have developed a keen understanding of how to create an optimal life with mind mastery and body building. From childhood through midlife, transformational experiences rocked my world and opened new doors to greater discoveries of self and the power of possibility in creating a most rewarding life. From grade school Shy Girl, to high school Party Girl, to college Ivy League Lady, to 150% MOM, to Nationally respected Psychotherapist, to Midlife Creation as a Professional Athlete, Author, Speaker, and International Mental Fitness Coach...and Ebassador for FitBar...I have continued to evolve and hope to never stop!
Turning my hobby into a competitive sport and then earning my Pro status at the age of 47 years old was a pivotal time of my life. Pursuing that goal of competing on stage required me to overcome mental obstacles that had been interfering with my healthy risk-taking until then. Reaching that goal of turning Pro created an opportunity for my newly fueled passion and purpose: to create a program that empowers people to fear-less and do more to become their best self physically, mentally, professionally, and in relationships. Bringing together my decades of clinical experience (working with thousands of clients on mastering their lives) with my years of athleticism (and then working with hundreds of athletes on the Mindset that Matters), I developed Mental Fitness Coaching.
Today, I live each day with deeply held gratitude and a vibrant energy source that comes from the investment that I have made in honing in on who I am and what I am meant to be on Earth. I have Clients on every Continent. I have my second and then third Mental Fitness book coming out before the end of 2016. I am honored to speak on dozens of talk shows and serve as an expert to corporations and publications on the Mindset that Matters for life-lifting, stress-relieving, optimal functioning. I enjoy love and romance with a special man. Most importantly, I have strong relationships with my three adult children, my sweet sister and brother, and beloved dad.
At 52, I am competing still (and against women half my age sometimes!). A few shows this year and, with God’s grace, a few shows next year will keep my going long and strong!
*I am completely “Aquarian”.
*Tom Hanks bought me an ice cream cone once.
*When I lived in L.A. in my young 20’s, I caught the bug for bodybuilding at Venice Beach’s Muscle Beach.
*Personal philosophy is to say “yes” first because you can always say “no” later, but the reverse isn’t usually true.
*I drive a Freedom Top Jeep and the color is Mango Tango...and everyone who knows me agrees it’s a total reflection of ME.
